There are things you can do to improve any meal and make it more diet friendly. Making small changes, one at a time, are proven to work better than over hauling your whole diet at once, which can be a set up for failure. Here are some diet tips and tricks that work. Small changes that once you consistently do them, will not end up making you feel deprived and help you lose weight.

Enjoy Eggs for Breakfast

People who eat two eggs each morning shed 65 percent more weight than those who have a bagel of equal calories! The 6 grams of protein in the eggs and the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin work to stabilize blood sugar, increase metabolism 25 percent for 2 hours and curbs appetite. This will cut your daily caloric intake by 33 percent, maybe more.  Eggs are a great diet food and they are incredibly verstile and easily portable!

Add Vegetables

Add 1/2 cup of vegetables to every meal.  Making vegetables a staple at mealtime helps people lose 25 percent more weight than reducing the fat in their diet, according to a study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.  This is because vegetables have a low calorie density which make them the perfect healthy diet food.    Dieters will eat 25 percent more food, but consume 20 percent less calories, while still feeling satisfied and full!  Celery, carrots, cucumbers are all great vegetables that are easy, portable and delicious.

Psyllium

Have a glass of lemon water with psyllium either stirred in or take a psyllium capsule each morning before breakfast. Fiber has the ability to slow carb absorption and balance blood sugar. Research suggests that by increasing fiber intake by 5 grams a day, you can melt 14 pounds of belly fat yearly! Fiber will also fill you up and make you feel full longer. Eating a whole foods diet will go along way in contributing to your fiber intake. Eat whole grains and fresh produce daily. Steer clear of white food.  It is so processed that there isn't any fiber left!
